When you are the second of five children, someone has to be the funny one. That is the role this New Jersey native took on. Jan began performing at a young age at the encouragement of her father. He urged the children to make impromptu speeches about various topics in an effort to give each their own moment to shine. For Jan's part, the moment she made her family laugh she knew what she wanted to do - and her love for comedy was born. She performed in high school shows and moved to Los Angeles for college. Despite a few detours early on, Jan continues to pursue her love of acting, comedy, and improv. She has studied with improv comedy veterans Dan Weisman, Tyler Jolley, Kent Skov, Deven Green, and Cyb Barnstable, as well as with notable theaters such as the Groundlings and On the Spot. She has acted in web series, short films, children's theater productions, showcases, and student films. Jan was the lead in the award winning short film Mother of the Year, written and directed by Adrienne Zi. She has been awarded "Best Female Improv Performer" three times for her improv performances and "Most Inspirational" for her coaching and teaching at the LA Connection.
