Rubik's Revenge
We've all played with - or at least seen - a Rubik's Cube; all of that twisting and turning to make the colors match and just when you think you have it perfect, a random color changes everything. In honor of that brain buster, Split Decision presents Rubik's Revenge.
We begin with 5 actors. 4 of the 5 actors on stage create a square. The actor in the left corner position (called the "Power Position") will ask the audience for a word, location, relationship, situation, etc. for their scene. Each actor rotates into the Power Position and asks the audience for a suggestion EXCEPT the 5th actor in the center of the square; they do not ask the audience for anything. The host then rotates the scenes by yelling a number and a direction ("2 to the right" or "3 to the left"). The actors will move that number of positions in that direction and continue the scene they land on. NOW comes the complicated part: at any time during the game, the host may call for the center actor to enter the scene. When this happens, the center actor will trade places with one of the square actors. The center actor will enter the scene as a new character in that scene and it will continue this way until the host calls the next center actor in.
